Rentz's Stick insect Sipyloidea rentzi
Sold as juveniles – Captive Bred
A common find in Far North Queensland, Sipyloidea rentzi appears to be a generalist feeding on a wide range of plants. Both the male and female can fly (although poorly) when mature, this means care needs to be taken when changing leaves.
Adult Body Length Female 6-7cm Male 5cm
Foodplants Eucalyptus, Syzygium and Guava (Psidium spp.)
Notes
Our Sipyloidea rentzi originate from rainforests near Kuranda, QLD.
Due to similarities with Sipyloidea species especially while immature, this species should not be kept with other Sipyloidea species. They can be easily mixed up and can be hard to seperate apart.
