One of the largest Mantis species in Australia, they are heavily built and surprisingly strong!

Adult Body Length Females 7cm

Diet Live insects roughly a 1/4 a size of the mantis. Crickets, flies and cockroaches are all available at pet stores. 

Notes

Male and female mantids can be differentiated by counting abdomen segments, in Hierodula majuscula females have six segments and males seven.
